Sharal Dean Welch

Sharal Welch passed into the arms of Jesus on August 27, 2024, at the age of 72. Reuniting with her in heaven are her parents, Mary Welch and Bud (Lib) Welch, sister Teresa (Robbie) Hart, and a special great-nephew, Barrett Frick. Left behind to mourn Sharal’s absence are: her son, Mitch (Erin) Way; siblings Robert (Nan) Welch, Mike (Sandy) Welch, and Marie (Barry) Frick; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, cousins, step-siblings, family-by-choice, and special friends, far too numerous to name; two small dogs only a mother can love; and, a very well fed colony of stray cats. Sharal’s greatest joys in life were her family and the beach, as she never missed a family gathering nor passed up an opportunity to sit on the beach. She had a style that was uniquely her own, she loved bright colors and wore as many as possible. While having no grandchildren of her own, she treated many of the youngest family members as if they were her own and could often be found coloring or completing puzzles at the children’s table. Sharal was an enduring romantic, and loved to dance, listen to music, and read many tales of fantasy and science fiction. The family will receive visitors in the Stoudenmire-Dowling chapel on Saturday, August 31st at 1 pm, with a service to follow at 2 pm.
