SHIRLEY POSTON GAINEY Florence, SC Shirley Poston Gainey, 70, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in a local healthcare facility after an illness. Mrs. Gainey was born in Darlington, SC a daughter of the late Timothy DeLeon and Mary Poston Deas.She was a member of Elim Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank Gainey, who died May 5, 1993 Surviving are her children, Kathy Marie (Ricky) Stewart of Florence, SC, Julia Delores (Leon) Gainey of Darlington, Janet Elizabeth Blackmon of Florence, Thomas Franklin (Mary) Gainey of Cheraw and Deborah Gainey (Dwight) Poston of Florence; 4 brothers, Billy Poston of Tennessee, Johnny Poston of Charleston, Gordon Poston of Charleston and Thomas Poston of Ridgeland, SC; 2 sisters, Gloria Thoma and Debbie Moran both of Charleston; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens.
