Spero "Speedy" Melidones

Spero “Speedy” Melidones of Chicago, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Speedy was born and raised in Chicago, the son of the late Ida Pantos Melidones and George C. Melidones. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Holtz Melidones; daughter, Andrianna Melidones; son, Theodore Melidones; and brother, Christ Melidones (JoAnn). A devoted husband, father, and friend who lived a life centered on love and family. He was of the Greek Orthodox Faith and retired from the City of Chicago. His greatest joy came from creating cherished memories with his beloved wife, daughter, and son. Whether through family adventures or quiet moments at home, Speedy’s warmth and unwavering dedication to his loved ones left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Though deeply missed, his legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 1:00pm at Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion will be held on Friday before the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
