Steven James Manall

Taken too soon. Beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin & friend. One of the kindest hearts found in a person who ever existed. He was one of a kind and loved by many and he will be sorely missed. Heaven’s kitchen is a better and tastier place with him now. As of his passing, He was a sous chef at Il Buongustaio. Steven was born and raised in NJ and was the former Executive Chef of The Palmetto Cafe, in Charleston SC. Since visiting SC for his internship, he said South Carolina felt like home. He developed a passion for cooking at a young age. Unlike many chefs that credit their mothers or grandmothers as the inspiration for their culinary careers, Chef Steven credited the men in his family, particularly his grandfathers, who loved to cook, especially outdoors. He is survived by his father, second mom, sisters, grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends.
