Stewart Lee Clarke

Stewart Lee Clarke, 93, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. Mr. Clarke was born in Marion County, SC. He was a Christian and a member of First Southern Methodist Church, where he served faithfully. He was a proud military man, who had served in Korea and had received four purple hearts. He loved animals, fishing and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty DeBerry Clarke. Surviving is his stepson, Dennis Horne (Denise); stepdaughter, Susan Horne (Victor) Hinson; grandchildren, Amy (Shane) Carmichael, Kellie (Michael) Pegarella and Evan (Nikki) Horne; great-grandchildren, Dylan Horne, Kinsey Horne and Danielle Pegarella; and his four-legged companion, Lacey. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Florence Area Humane Society, P. O.
