Sybil Waddell Mills

Sybil Waddell Mills, 85, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born in Effingham, SC, the daughter of the late Frank Nash and Sue Turner Waddell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Royce(Sailor), Skip, Frank(Judy), and Ted Waddell; and sisters, Genevieve Best, Lurleen (Black) McBride, Helen (Lauton) Anderson, and Kathleen (Carlisle) Robinson. Surviving are her sons, Joe Lynn and Michael Todd Mills, grandchildren, Angel, Joel and Reagan Mills; and brother, Dean (Margaret) Waddell. Ms. Mills was a member of Effingham Presbyterian Church. She was a kind person and always welcomed any visitors with open arms. She loved playing cards and spending time with her kids at the river. She was an avid animal lover. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Effingham Cemetery, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM.
