Ted "Buddy" Hyman, Sr. Florence, SC Ted Phillip "Buddy" Hyman, Sr., 78, of Florence, died Friday evening, June 3, 2011 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Hyman was born in Florence County, SC a son of the late Tennie Tennison and LouQueen Elizabeth Calcutt Hyman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church in Pamplico and was also a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, Florence Chapters and a Mason, having served as Master Mason. He retired as Owner and Operator of Hyman Barber Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandchild, Scottie. Surviving are his children, Ted P. Hyman, Jr., of Murrells Inlet, Ricky O. (Julie) Hyman, Ryan T. Hyman and Glory H. Wells all of Florence; brother, Sonny (Liz) Hyman of Pamplico; sister, Ruby Purvis of Pamplico; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church at Bazen's Crossroads in Pamplico. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, 235 W. Bazen Rd., Pamplico, SC29583. The family will receive friends at the residence.
