Teddy Lamar Evans

Teddy Lamar Evans, 72, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM -12:00 Noon Thursday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Evans was born a son of the late Dorothy Virginia Evans and John Ervin Evans. He was a graduate of South Florence High School Class of 1969. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. He worked for 25 years and retired from Southeastern Freight Lines. Mr. Evans was a member of the Florence American Legion and loved NASCAR and NHRA Drag Racing. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Kenny Evans. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Kathy Waddell Evans; son, Jason L. (Ashley) Evans; brother, Larry Evans; sister, Gloria Matthews; a number of nieces and nephews; and canine companion, Bella.
