Timothy E. Wise

Timothy E. Wise of Florence, SC, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. He is the son of Joyce Ann Gardner Wise and the late Roy Elden Wise. Tim had a distinguished career at GE Healthcare for over 20 years, where he was known for his leadership and expertise in the design of MRI machine gradients. He contributed numerous innovations, patents, and trade secrets that made MRI machines safer, more efficient, and accessible to patients. His work, marked by a unique ability to bring ideas to life with precision and speed, earned him deep respect and admiration. Outside of work, Timothy was an avid golfer, but his greatest joy came from being surrounded by his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones—whether it was sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying their company. His home was always filled with laughter, and he took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow. Tim’s deep love and devotion to his family were evident in everything he did, and he was particularly fond of his grandchildren and nephews, whom he adored. His genuine warmth, humor, and unwavering support left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Surviving are his son, Jacob (Lesleigh); daughter, Jessica (Christopher); grandchildren, Owen and Ryan; sister, Christi (John) and Jodie (Matt). The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM at Florence Memorial Gardens.
