Timothy James Wyllie

Timothy James Wyllie, 71, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Mr. Wyllie was born in Baltimore, Maryland a son of the late James Andrew Wyllie and Catherine McDonald Wyllie Hackney. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in Economics. He retired as Director of Logistics with ESAB Worldwide and previously with Grand Union. Tim served as a volunteer for 10 years with the West Florence High School Marching Band and was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Wanda Lawrence Wyllie; son, Jason Andrew (Erin) Wyllie; daughters, Summer Wyllie (Kashyap D.) Patel and Katie Marie Wyllie (Luke) Wilcox; grandchildren, Jaspin Patel, Siena Patel, Vivian Wyllie, Parker Timothy Wyllie, and George Wilcox, IV, due in late December; step-granddaughter, Ava Lyn Wilcox; brothers, Michael Andrew (Sandy) Wyllie and Patrick James (Julie) Wyllie. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Florence Baptist Temple with the service to be held at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
