Tony Nelson Fix

Tony Nelson Fix Effingham, SC Tony Nelson Fix, 71, of Effingham, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Fix was born in Augusta Co., VA a son of the late Mazaline Walker Fix and Ethel Watts Fix.He was a US Army veteran.He was a member of Hillside Free Will Baptist Church and retired after 40 years with Smurfit Stone Container. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Lynn Edward Fix, who died April 12, 2010. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Joyce Ann Myers Fix of Effingham; daughters, Angela (Tommy) Lee of Florence, Crystal (Manny) Marrero of Florence and Traci (Joey) Powell of Scranton; grandchildren, Jeremy Lee, Andrew Marrero, Jade Marrero, Bella Marrero and Wade Powell. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
