Travis Andrew "Andy" Shaw

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Travis Andrew “Andy” Shaw, who peacefully left us on January 13, 2025, at the age of 50. Andy's final moments were spent at home, enveloped in the love of his devoted family. Born on November 16, 1974, Andy was the beloved son of David and Susan (Hall) Shaw. Andy leaves behind a legacy as a cherished father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving life partner, Brandi Barefoot-Yarborough; his daughter, Savannah Shaw; and son, Jameson Shaw, both of Florence, SC. He was a proud grandfather to Rylee Dean Taylor of Florence, SC, who brought immense joy to his life. Andy will also be deeply missed by his mother, Susan (Mickey) Caulder of Florence; sister, Angie (Steve) Jones of Dallas, GA; brother, David Shaw II, and his girlfriend Belinda Shields of Florence. His nieces, Ashley (Jones) (Mark) Verlander of Marietta, GA, and Kaylee Shaw of Timmonsville; and nephews, Jeff Jones of Dallas, GA, and David H Shaw II of Florence, will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, David H. Shaw, whose presence Andy undoubtedly longed for. Andy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly fishing and creating treasured memories with his family and close friends. His warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel with the service to follow at 2:00 PM.
