Vicki Cox Atkinson

VICKI COX ATKINSON EFFINGHAM, SC Vicki Cox Atkinson, 56, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Florence Co., a daughter of the late Carlyle C. McKissick and Mavin Poston McKissick.She was a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service and attended Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchell Joy Atkinson; brother, A.C. McKissick and a grandson, Cameron Cox. Surviving are her sons, Christopher Cox and Mitchell Shane Atkinson, both of Effingham; grandchildren, Kristina Cox, Makayla Cox, Brandon Cox, Shayna Atkinson, Bryson Cox, Austin Atkinson and Nile Rain; sister, Rhonda Compton of Florence; brothers, Teddy McKissick and Barry McKissick, both of Pamplico and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
