Vivian Stalvey Crain

Vivian Stalvey Crain, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Mrs. Crain was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, the daughter of the late Duff G. Stalvey and Lila Mae Ard Stalvey. She lived in various places in the United States, Scotland and England with her late serviceman husband, Bobby Ray “Bob” Crain. She worked as a teller for Guarantee Bank, now Wells Fargo, for 40 years, retiring in 2009. Mrs. Crain was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her daughters, Deborah Kay Crain, Patricia Faye Crain Morris; son, Eddie Ray Crain; grandchild, Hannah Poston; and sister, Iris Collins. Mrs. Crain is survived by her daughter, Donna Crain Poston of Florence; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Gary (Helen) Stalvey of Florence; and sisters, Sue S. (Fred) Eaddy, Linda S. (Frank) Garris and Barbara S. Griffin, all of Florence. Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Florence Baptist Temple with the service to be held at 11:00 AM in the chapel, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
