Vivian Louise Gravitte Dodd

Vivian Louise Gravitte Dodd, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Mrs. Dodd was born in Haleyville, AL, the daughter of the late Cleborn Gravitte and Susie Creel Gravitte. She was a long-time member of Florence Baptist Temple, where she was active for many years. Mrs. Dodd worked in the retail industry for both Gladstone’s and Belk. In addition to the parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Whitt Dodd; brothers, George Gravitte and Jerry Gravitte; sister, Karen Jones and son-in-law, Danny Snead. Surviving are her daughters, Dianne (Garry) Evans, Hilda (Eddie) Hutto and Peggy (Jimmy) Moore; grandchildren, Christopher (Tara Jane) Snead, Jameson (Cadie) Snead, Jonathan (Whitney) Wilke, Valerie (Drew) Murden and Whitney (Jamie) Sereg and great-grandchildren, Delaney Snead, Darby Snead, J.P. Snead, Ansley Wilke, Sullivan Wilke, Andy Murden and Lucy Murden. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Florence Baptist Temple. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the temple.
