Walter Edwin "Ed" Allen

Walter Edwin “Ed” Allen, 88, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was born in Georgetown, SC, the son of the late James Heins Allen and Myrtle Haselden Allen. He was a graduate of McClenaghan High School. Mr. Allen served in the United States Navy before becoming a Claims Adjuster for Trans South. He attended 1st Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Allen and sister, Myrtle Elizabeth Summerford. Surviving are his wife, Harriette H. Allen; sons, Michael Allen and Mark Allen, of Florence, SC, and grandson, Landon Allen. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
