Warren Donald Parnell Florence, SC Warren Donald Parnell, 65, of Florence, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in a local hospital after an illness. Mr. Parnell was born in Darlington, SC, a son of Ruth Lloyd Parnell and the late Horace Parnell.He was a member of the Cashua Church of God in Florence and was an avid fisherman.He retired from Nucor Steel after 30 years of service and later was employed with North American Assembly in Timmonsville. Mr. Parnell is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janice Kelly Parnell of Florence; children, Donald Wade (Lori) Parnell of Madison Wisconsin, Lisa Michelle Grice, of Florence, Martin "Marty" Lee Parnell of Columbia and Cindy Marie Parnell of Mount Pleasant; his mother of Darlington; brothers, Harmon Ellis "H.E." Parnell, Sr. and Horace Latha Parnell, both of Darlington; sisters, Annie Ruth Griggs and Peggy Jean Farmer, both of Darlington, a number of nieces and nephews and three godsons. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home chapel.Committal Services will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cashua Church of God, 810 S. Cashua Drive, Florence, SC29501.
