Wayne Howard Hyman, 90, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Hyman was born the son of the late Essie Estell Alford Hyman and Andrew Clyde Hyman, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Mr. Hyman retired as a General Sales Manager after many years of service with Rental Uniform. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and an avid Gamecock fan. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his seven siblings, Nancy (W.D.) Altman, Mary Alice (Eugene) Hatchell, Andrew Clyde Hyman, Jr. and his twin Essie Hyman, and Sarah Louise Hyman; Frank (Mary) Hyman and Dr. Irvin (Lucy) Hyman. Mr. Hyman is survived by his wife, Betty C. Hyman; son, Wayne Howard Hyman, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Hyman (Wendell) Lane; grandchildren, Merrette (Matthew) Dowdell and Landis (Hannah) Lane; great-grandchildren, Lane Dowdell, Matthew Dowdell, Jr., Eleanor Lane and Wallace Lane; and sister-in-law, Mable Hyman. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Mount Hope Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Monday at the Church.
