William Lee Bullard

William Lee Bullard, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Mr. Bullard was born the son of the late Georgia Evelyn Bethea Bullard and Robert B. Bullard. He was a veteran of the US Army serving for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pembrooke State College. Mr. Bullard was a retired mechanic, retiring in 2000 after 35 years of service with Stone Container Company. He was a member of Eastside Christian Church and Disabled American Veterans. He was also a volunteer fireman with Windy Hill Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Ida Rose Jackson Bullard; twin brother who died at birth; and sister, Evelyn Flack. Mr. Bullard is survived by his sons, Walter (Daffony) Bullard of Fort Mill, SC and Robert (Ginger) Bullard of Florence, SC; daughter, Missy Ateyeh of Florence, SC; brother, Robert B. Bullard of Monroe, NC and six grandchildren, Clay Bullard, Zack Bullard, Dori Bullard, Ben Bullard, Madeline Ateyeh and Will Ateyeh. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Mt. Hope Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Entombment will immediately follow. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family sends a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice, especially to Brooke Creel (RN), Sheila Brown (HHA), Jerry Fennell (Chaplain), Brandi Fennell (NP), Tasha Hinson (Social Worker) and all the staff included in his care.
