WILLIAM CARL BENNETT FLORENCE, S.C. WILLIAM CARL BENNETT, 53, of Florence, died Monday, April 9, 2012 after an illness. Mr. Bennett was born in Florence County, a son of Estelle Ferrell Baldwin and the late William L. Bennett. He was employed as a truck driver for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Eric Cooper. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, ShannonLewellen, Wesley Bennett, William Bennett, II, Alicia Bennett, Tosha Bennett and Abby Thompson; his companion, Charlene Thompson, his sisters; Michele Worthington, Sharon McClam and Lisa Coward, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and his step-father, Thomas Baldwin. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2012 at Thompson Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 P.M.
