William "Bill" Platt Edwards Florence, SC William "Bill" Platt Edwards, 74, of Florence passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Edwards was born in Florence, a son of the late Samuel Carlisle Edwards, Sr. and Beulah Berry Williamson. He was the owner/operator of Thunder Industries and loved traveling. Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faye McLeod Edwards; his daughter, Terry Edwards Anderson; and son-in-law, Richard Anderson. Mr. Edwards is survived by his grandchildren, Jacqueline Anderson (Derek) Johnston, and Samuel McLeod Anderson, both of Florence; great-grandchildren, Dylan Johnston and Eli Johnston; and by a brother, Samuel "Sonny" Carlisle (Jo) Edwards, Jr. Graveside services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
