William Charles Kendrick

William Charles “Billy” Kendrick, Sr., 75, of Effingham, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Mr. Kendrick was born in Columbia, SC a son of the late Broadus C. Kendrick and Janie H. Kendrick. He was owner of Kendrick Reconditioning and Detailing until his retirement and was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed Nascar and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Michelle Kendrick; one grandson, Stan Kendrick; and one brother, Butch Kendrick. Surviving are his wife, Diane Trimnal Kendrick; sons, William (Greta) Kendrick, Jr., Larry Kendrick, and Wayne (Michelle) Kendrick; daughters, Melissa (Rick) Fowler, Melinda (Rob) Barker, and Michelle (Eddie) Weaver; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Diane (Gerald) Johnson, Joan (Daryl) Sills, Carol (Elroy) Dinkins, Jimmy Kendrick, Paul (Williemae) Kendrick, and Bonneau (Debralyn) Kendrick and one sister-in-law, Juanita Kendrick. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm.
