William Manley Carrigg

Florence, S.C. WILLIAM MANLEY CARRIGG William Manley Carrigg, 66, of Florence, died Monday, October 18, 2010 in a local healthcare facility after an illness. Mr. Carrigg was born in Bamberg County, South Carolina, a son of Nellie Ruth Wood Carrigg and the late William Wallace Carrigg.He retired from City of Marion where he worked as a mechanic. Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Hazel Jeanette Lowrimore Carrigg; a daughter, Cynthia Carrigg of Florence and her special friend Carroll Robinson; grandchildren, Brad (Beth) Carrigg and Tim Williams; great-grandchildren Bryson Carrigg and Hunter Carrigg; a brother, Ronnie Carrigg, and a special friend, Mike Hyman. He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Old Neck Cemetery near Gresham, South Carolina.Burial will immediately follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the residence, 1714 N. Douglas Street, Florence, SC.
