William Stephen "Steve" Morris

William Stephen “Steve” Morris, age 60, passed away on July 10, 2022, peacefully after a short illness.He was born October 30, 1961, in Florence, SC, to the late J. C. and Louise Morris. He worked at La-Z-Boy East until their closure and then worked at South Florence Upholstery until retiring in 2016. He was a die-hard Cowboy’s fan and Nascar racing fan. He loved his family and love being called “Gandaddy” the most.Mr. Morris loved and served the Lord and was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Catherine T. Morris; a son, William (Constance) Bennett; two beautiful grandsons, JC Bennett and Braxton Bennett, that he was blessed with and given the title “Gandaddy”; brother, John (Becky) Morris; 4 nieces; 3 nephews; 2 great-nieces; sister-in-law, Cheri Lee; and brothers-in-law, Heyward Tallon and Bobby Tallon. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
