William Tyler Nichols

William Tyler Nichols, 31, along with his wife, Christie Thomas Nichols, of Hamlet, NC passed away January 8th, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Willie, as he was called by his family and friends, was born September 13th, 1993 to William Carl Nichols, III (Staci) and Alison (Cary) Cooley in Charleston, SC. He graduated from South Florence High School in 2012. Willie knew school was not for him and took an entry level job at Ollie’s store when they opened in Florence. He loved his job and gave it his all and eventually worked his way up to a management position. It was also at Ollie’s that he met the love of his life, Christie. Willie was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Donna Lynn Ridge. Surviving Willie are his parents; siblings: Donna (Michael) Davis, Zachery Nichols, Kylie Nichols, Easton Parker, and Parker Nichols; a nephew, Beckett Davis; Paternal grandfather, William Carl Nichols, Jr.; Maternal grandparents, Chuck and Ann Traxler; Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. They are also survived by their fur babies Grant, Nala, and Luke. A private memorial for family and friends will be held at a date to be determined. Family is being assisted by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
