William D. Pierce

William D. Pierce, 89, of Florence, SC passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Mr. Pierce was born in Florence Co., SC, a son of the late John Ivey Pierce and Clara Bell Langston Pierce. He was a veteran of the US Navy, retired from USPS after 33 years and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara Ann Deas Pierce; brother, Howard Lee Jones and sister, Litider P. Wise. Surviving are his wife, Connie M. Pierce; sons, William D. (Karen) Pierce, Jr. and Gary C. Pierce; daughter, Donna (Wade) Adams; grandson, Joshua (Ashley) Adams; brothers, David Pierce, Dickey Pierce, Hubert (Judy) Jones, and Joe (Anne) Jones. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
