William "Sam" Burt Pierce, Jr.

William “Sam” Burt Pierce, Jr., 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Mr. Pierce was born the son of the late Marie Blackmon Pierce and William Burt Pierce. He was a retired truck driver and was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Marie (Sammy) Windham of Lamar, SC; brothers, Peter James Pierce of Florida and Philip Daniel Pierce of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Kevin Windham (Nicole) and Brittany Bradshaw (Matt); great-grandchildren, Sage Bradshaw, Penelope Windham and Russ Bradshaw; nieces, Kim Matthews and Wendy Mott; and nephew, Jimmy Pierce. Family will receive friends at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
