William Gary Tucker

William Gary Tucker, 79, of Florence, SC passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born in McColl, SC, to the late Mattie Porter Tucker and Sebe Tucker. He had a lifelong passion for fishing. In his retirement he loved being at the beach with his wife. On Saturdays, he could be found searching for treasures at yard sales. Many days were spent sitting and chatting with his daughter and grandchildren. He also enjoyed Sunday morning church services. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Angie Tucker; brothers, Larry Tucker, and Sebe Tucker; sisters, Judy Brigman and Dale Tucker; and grandchildren, Trenton and Ally Powell. Surviving are his wife, Vickie McKellar Tucker; sister, Sue Unger (Harold); daughters, Jennifer Watkins (Justin), and Michelle Powell (Tony); stepdaughter, Julie Johnson (Hal); stepson, Bryan Fowler (Melinda); grandchildren, Emily and Tyler Watkins, Macy and Collin Powell, Emma and Chase Johnson, Morgan, Bryce and Mason Fowler. The family will receive friends 1:00- 2:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
